ABOUT ME

I qualified from the Imperial School of Medicine in 1993. From the age of 18, I felt a deep calling towards medicine, believing that this was where I belonged and could make a meaningful difference. My artistic inclinations in poetry, art, philosophy, anthropology, music including composition of different genres and the humanities have profoundly influenced my medical practice, providing a rich backdrop for my career.

My compassion, dedication, and meticulous approach to patient care led me to attain both the FRCP (Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians) and the MRCGP (Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners), allowing me to specialize and serve as a General Practitioner. Over the past 30 years, I have amassed a wealth of fulfilling experiences and bespoke patient interactions, each case unique and enriching.

Beginning my career as a GP was a privilege, equipping me to handle a diverse array of medical issues—a truly exhilarating experience. After three decades of dedicated service and significant sacrifice within the NHS, I am now transitioning to private practice.

On a personal level, I am communicative, transparent, honest, and humorous, often incorporating humour into consultations to put patients at ease and ensure they leave more enlightened. I have a passion for travelling, exploring different cultures, and spending time in Rishikesh, in the Himalayas, to find peace for my soul, which I then strive to share with my patients. I am a great believer that healthy laughter nurtures the subconscious and promotes healing on many levels.

I believe that patients often present with multiple intertwined problems, and I relish the challenge of unravelling these complex scenarios to provide holistic care. Additionally, I incorporate Ayurvedic medicine to complement conventional treatments, enhancing their effectiveness.

As a universalist, I hold a firm belief in non-judgment and treating everyone with respect and compassion. This philosophy has guided my career and personal life. I feel privileged to have dedicated my life to medicine and I am honoured to have been awarded the prestigious FRCP. I firmly believe that a doctor at peace with their soul can offer positivity and serenity to their patients which facilitates their transition to recovery.
